dear mom,
I have a high fever, no voice, and am lacking so much sleep that I can barely keep my eyes open and today you decide to pick a fight about college? It is so unbelievably unnecessary. I am ready for college, I’ve been ready for the past six months and now you think that I’m not. I have my priorities straight. Unlike more than half of the people graduating this year I know what I want to do. So please don’t sit there and tell me otherwise. I have never had any intention of going to college close to home, never. I know how to make it in the real world, and yes I probably will mess up and make mistakes but that’s all part of life. I make mistakes and learn from them. But please do not sit there and question my judgements. This is my life now. These will be the next four years of my life, away from you and dad. I know you’re trying to look out for me and are trying to help but you need to let me do this on my own.
